Today I’m happy to announce that my show, Matt LeBlanc FUSION, will take place on Saturday September 14, 2013. Even though the show is still five months away, I’ve been planning and producing it for a few months now. I can’t share too many details at this point but I can tell you that it will take place at a different venue and will be even bigger and better then previous years.

I would obviously love to share all the details but it will have to wait until I have the full marketing campaign developed and ready to roll. In the meantime, I’m currently looking for a few key sponsors that would like to come on board to make this popular event an even bigger success. The last two shows sold out in just a couple weeks and it’s anticipated that this year’s event will be the same (500 tickets).

Please contact me if you would like to be part of this amazing event.

b2ap3_thumbnail_1383A.jpgEvery artist obviously has different ways to create art.  Techniques, feelings, emotions & experience all play a role in the finished product.  Painting abstracts for me is just plain fun.  I really feed off colors, emotions and music.  I’m not the type of artist who will take a walk and get instantly inspired by something I see.  For me, it’s more the mood I’m in and the emotions I feel when I’m in front of the canvas.  I think about colors, shapes & forms.  Those items are at the basis of all my artwork.

Music's rhythm and tempo have a big influence on my work.  I love big canvases and I love to paint with big brushes.  I’m not the best at painting small details so that’s probably why I don’t paint portraits.  I find that music can influence the quality and speed with which I apply my large paintbrush or palette knife to the canvas.  How I apply the paint will be reflected in the end result.

b2ap3_thumbnail_DSC_7408.jpgFor some reason, I’m getting more and more requests about giving art courses.  I never had any interests to teach art.  I’m 100% self-thought and I’m very proud of the fact that I spent hours and hours perfecting my very own techniques.

When I first started painting, I decided that I didn’t want anyone to show me his or her own style.  I didn’t want to be influenced by someone else.  It was important for me to develop my own originality.

I constantly get emails from fans.  I love it as it always makes my day.  From time to time I get emails from aspiring artists.  They are usually looking for tips and tricks.  I don’t mind that either and I often try to help them even if my time is very limited.

b2ap3_thumbnail_21-Artists-Badge-125x125.pngEach year, the website www.SkinnyArtist.com takes the time to publish a list of “21 Amazing Artists to Watch” in an effort to recognize some of the best up and coming artists online, as well as some who are already highly successful in their field.

I’ve been a fan of that website for years as they always provide great content and tips for artists worldwide.  I was extremely happy to see my name on the list for 2013.  Please click on the link to read what they had to say about me.  Thank you so much to the SkinnyArtist.com team!
