Excellence Award Winner

Last Friday, I received the prestigious Excellence Award from the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) in the Innovation category. I can't even begin to explain to you how excited I was to be honoured with such an award.  I was also very happy to see my friend Remi Boudreau win the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

I believe that innovation is at the cornerstone of everything I do as an artist. Artists are not normally seen as a businessperson but I’ve treated my art as a business since day one. I’ve turned the traditional route to gain a following in the art world on its head.

When I first started, I told myself I needed to make art approachable, affordable, and easy to purchase, that there was no limit to what I could achieve. I constantly plan and think about what else I can do to innovate my brand to get it out there. At the end of the day, most people will buy the brand and not necessarily the product. Innovation has become huge part of my brand.

I’m truly grateful to have won this award and to be recognized among the leaders of our business community.
